What is Nickel Foil?
Nickel foil (CAS 7440-02-0) is thin nickel metal used for battery tabs, current collectors, electrodes and shielding. Nickel is conductive, easy to weld and resists corrosion in alkaline electrolytes, which makes it common in NiMH and alkaline cells and as tab material in lithium-ion batteries.

Frequently asked questions
Can nickel foil be used as a lithium-ion current collector?
It is stable at anode potentials and is used in some research cells, but copper is standard for cost and conductivity.
Can I order nickel foil in bulk?
Yes. Use the enquiry form on this page or email [email protected] with the quantity and specification you need, and we will send a bulk quote.
Do you ship outside Canada?
Yes. NanoLithium ships from Canada to the USA, Europe, South Korea and customers worldwide. Lead time and freight are confirmed with your quote.
